We define RFM (Ranking Factor Meter) to detect which class each hypothetical ranking signal belongs to:

confirmed: Google or someone who works at Google directly confirms that this signal is used for ranking.

Very likely: There is substantial evidence (e.g., public comments, patents, third-party data) that Google uses this ranking signal, although neither Google nor Google's representatives have officially confirmed this.

possible: There is some evidence that Google is using this signal, but no official confirmation from Google representatives and/or conflicting/unreliable data.

Not too possible: This signal has not been completely ruled out, but there is little/no evidence that Google is using or has used it to rank results.

Not Anymore: This used to be a ranking signal, but is now obsolete or no longer used by Google.

absolute Not: A ridiculous idea with zero evidence - even outright refuted by Google - that this signal is used for rankings.
